Bigfoot wins big again! McDowellNC Toastmasters’ Club Pride Basket was the big winner at the District 37 Toastmasters conference in Charlotte this weekend. The Big Trophy returns to our club for another year!

For our April 1st meeting, we thought we’d have a little bit of FUN!
(We actually always have fun! 😜)
We’re excited to be hosting a game show-esque all table topics meeting next week!
Table Topics is the section of each meeting where participants are asked a question and must think quick to come up with a 1-2 minute impromptu speech as their response.
While giving prepared speeches is a big part of Toastmasters, often in life, you don’t get to prepare for days or weeks. We utilize these opportunities to practice speaking off the cuff, so when you’re presented a question in your daily life, you’ve always got an answer!
Guests are encouraged to attend and are always warmly welcomed to any of McDowell NC Toastmasters’ meetings!

We hosted a Family Feud meeting last week, to help blow off some steam and end our year with a bang!
Our Game Show Host, Kanne, guided teams through 12 Christmas & NYE themed questions, and left us wondering…where did they find those 100 people that they surveyed?!
What a fun way to end the year!
