Student misbehavior is still on the rise—and teachers are feeling the impact every single day.
Across classrooms, educators are managing more disruptions, increased disrespect, and a growing need for behavioral support. While schools continue to adapt with new strategies and interventions, one truth remains clear: this cannot be solved by teachers alone.
Strong partnerships between schools and families are more important than ever.
Teachers are asking for greater support from parents and guardians—not in a place of blame, but in a spirit of collaboration. When expectations for behavior are reinforced at home, when communication stays open, and when accountability is shared, students are far more likely to succeed both academically and socially.
This is a collective effort.
• Check in regularly with your child about their school day
• Reinforce respect, responsibility, and self-discipline at home
• Partner with teachers early—not just when issues arise
• Model the behaviors we want to see in our students
Education doesn’t begin and end in the classroom. It thrives when schools and families work together with a shared purpose.
Let’s move from frustration to partnership—for the benefit of every student.

Teacher Turnover Isn’t Just a Staffing Issue—It’s a System Problem
Teacher turnover continues to disrupt schools across the country, especially in high-need communities. Many educators leave within their first five years—not because they lack passion, but because they lack preparation and support.
Here’s the hard truth: teacher preparation programs aren’t fully equipping educators for the realities of today’s classrooms.
New teachers often face:
• A gap between theory and real-world teaching
• Limited hands-on classroom experience
• Minimal training in classroom management
• Little preparation for diverse student needs
• No roadmap for handling stress and burnout
Then comes the biggest challenge—once they start teaching, support is often inconsistent or nonexistent.
If we want to improve teacher retention, we need to rethink the entire pipeline:
✔ More real classroom experience before day one
✔ Strong mentorship and induction programs
✔ Practical, skills-based training
✔ Ongoing support for teacher well-being
Teacher retention isn’t about asking educators to “tough it out.” It’s about building systems that actually support them to stay and succeed.
What changes do you think would make the biggest difference in keeping great teachers in the classroom?

As educators, we are focused on "listening" to the voices in our classrooms, those of our students. We listen with intent to understand if learning is occurring, to hear active engagement, and to connect with our students in their environment.
I have created a place where "Teachers" and their "Voices" can be heard, valued, and solutions provided. Stay tuned for some exciting news on this safe and sharing place for all teachers.
