The best people to tell Anson County's story are the ones living it. From classrooms and ballfields to quiet country roads and late-night conversations at Waffle House, students share what makes Anson County feel like home. 🧇

Congratulations to Noah Howorth for representing South Piedmont at the North Carolina SkillsUSA Automotive Service Technology competition!

As part of the competition, Noah demonstrated his skills across 16 different service areas, including brakes, steering and suspension, electrical systems, engine performance, HVAC, wire repair, and electric vehicle technology. One of our favorite things about summertime at South Piedmont is seeing our campuses come alive with lush greenery, blooming landscapes, and plenty of wildlife. 🌲

Over the years, we've even had a few special visitors, including goslings that have called our campuses home. When one of those goslings needed help, the team at Carolina Waterfowl Rescue stepped in to provide expert care and support.

Today, Carolina Waterfowl Rescue is in need of community support to continue rescuing and caring for injured and orphaned wildlife. If you'd like to help, please consider making a donation through the link below.

Thank you to Carolina Waterfowl Rescue for the important work you do for wildlife across our region.

Artificial intelligence is changing the way we learn and work. That's why South Piedmont is launching Gator Guide, a new framework designed to help students use AI responsibly while developing the critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills employers value most.

Created by South Piedmont faculty and instructional staff, Gator Guide provides clear expectations for AI use in the classroom and helps prepare students for success in an increasingly AI-powered workforce.

Home. Community. Opportunity.

Those are just a few of the reasons Anson County Early College students say they love Anson County.

Through the partnership between South Piedmont and Anson County Early College, students can earn college credit and work toward an associate degree while still in high school—all while being part of a close-knit community that supports their success.

Hear what these students have to say about the place they call home.

Happy National Mascot Day to Al the Gator!

This year marks an exciting milestone for South Piedmont as we celebrate National Mascot Day with our very own mascot costume for the first time. After introducing Al the Gator as the college's official mascot, we've loved seeing him bring energy, school spirit, and plenty of smiles to events across our campuses.

Be sure to say hello to Al the next time you see him around South Piedmont! 🐊
