This Thursday August 31st Marks the day of Arafat, 9th of Dhu’l-hajj. It is a blessed day and the day before Eid Al Athha. As many of us will be fasting, MGA would like to host a community potluck Iftar that evening. Please bring your friends, family, and something to share and we hope to see you all there InshaAllah.

We are looking for an officer for the Project Manager position that has opened up over the summer.

It is open to everyone in the group and we would especially like to see interest from our newer members as it will make for an excellent opportunity to get to know the university, your fellow Muslim grads, other graduate students from the university, and interact with different administrators.

Roles will be, but not limited to:
-- Contributing to board meetings
-- Helping to organize and promote events
-- Helping the President with overseeing events.
-- Recruiting members for volunteer opportunities

Thanks everyone for attending yesterday's Graduation Party. We had a wonderful time with our graduating members and their families. MGA family prays for a successful future to all of you. Here is some of the moments captured of all the attendees.

Assalam o Alaikum Brothers and Sisters,

We will be hosting a party for our graduating members on May 12th at 6pm in CHHS 128. The upcoming events for the next year will also be announced.

Please join us, have some good food, meet other Muslim graduate fellows. Get a chance to hear how the experience of grad school was for our members and ask them questions about life after graduation. Bring friends and family, get to know what the organization has planned for you and feel free to pitch in some ideas.
