💚🩷 THE AUDACITY OF 44: CONTINUING TO SOAR 🩷💚
Forty-four years ago, a visionary group of women dared to imagine something greater. They built a chapter rooted in sisterhood, service, leadership, and excellence—creating a legacy that continues to flourish today.
At our 44th Chapter Anniversary Celebration, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® — Xi Nu Omega Chapter gathered to remember our beginnings, honor those who paved the way, celebrate the milestones of our members, and embrace the limitless possibilities ahead.
From our Chartering President and Charter Members to our newest Sisters, we were reminded that Xi Nu Omega Chapter's story is one of courage, commitment, and collective impact. We reflected on the lives and leadership that shaped our chapter, paid tribute to our Ivies Beyond the Wall, and celebrated generations of Sisters who continue to carry our legacy forward.
As we honor 44 years of excellence, we remain inspired by our past, energized by our present, and committed to soaring even higher in service to all mankind.
Because the audacity that founded Xi Nu Omega still lives within us.
And we're just getting started.

Happy Too Too Tuesday AKAlades! 💖💚
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® — Xi Nu Omega Chapter proudly celebrates our sister, Carla Jackson, MSW, on her retirement from the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) following an exceptional 32½-year career.
Over her distinguished career, Carla devoted her professional life to public service and child welfare, earning her Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University and serving for more than 26 years as a Public Service Administrator within the Division of Child Protection. Most recently, she served as the TA Senior Public Service Administrator at the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center and concluded her tenure leading the 1911 Division of Child Protection Field Office.
Bringing over three decades of leadership, Carla collaborated with multidisciplinary teams—including law enforcement, medical professionals, and legal entities—to advance coordinated services for children and families impacted by trauma. Her extraordinary contributions were formally recognized by the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center with a permanent commemorative plaque dedicated in her honor.
Carla, your leadership, passion, and unwavering commitment to public service and protecting our youth are deeply valued and do not go unnoticed. Congratulations on a remarkable career and a lasting legacy of service! 🌸✨
