We bring together children, youth, and organizations from communities in conflict zones 🌍🌻 Every community can create and sustain peace.

Play for Peace is a community of people who are, right now, creating a more peaceful world. In fact, one of the most exciting things about Play for Peace is that at any time of day or night Play for Peace is happening somewhere in the world. Children, youth and adults, even in communities in conflict, are deciding to choose compassion and practice peace, and they are learning to do this through th

🏳️🌈 What helps every person feel seen, valued, and welcome?

This Pride Month, join us for our June Traditions Transformed session as we celebrate the LGBTQ+ members of our global community and explore how play creates spaces rooted in respect, understanding, and belonging. Through personal stories, reflection, and interactive activities, we'll discover how inclusive play can affirm every identity, protect LGBTQ+ children, youth, and teenagers, and foster a culture of care for everyone.

✨ Together, let's explore how play can build bridges and help every person find their place in the circle.

Think about the last brave thing you did.

Now ask: what made it brave?

Was it the choice you made or where the choice came from?

A calm place. A clear reading of what the moment needed. A decision that felt aligned with who you are.

That is what we are learning, after twenty-five years of watching children find their way back to themselves in cooperative play circles across 22 countries.

Bravery is not the loudest choice or the hardest one.

It is the one that came from a grounded place.

Save this if it lands.

And tell us in the comments, what was your brave act today?

Alive or Dead?

Most of the peacebuilding approaches we have been given start with connection. Get people in the same room. Build rapport. Foster dialogue.

That is a generous instinct. It has moved real things forward in real communities. And there is a layer underneath it worth exploring.

Because a nervous system under threat cannot connect. Not really. Not in a way that holds.

What twenty-five years in communities of conflict is showing us alongside facilitators, families, and young people who taught us how to look is that there is something the body needs before connection becomes possible.

A moment of safety. A settling. A space in which honest seeing can open up.

Calm, then clarity, then connection. Not as steps in a line, but as movements that keep returning to one another each one deepening the next.

This carousel walks through that sequence. Swipe through, then share it with one person doing this work.

The importance of listening.👂

Design is never neutral. It always communicates a position, even when it doesn't seem to.

Play for Peace® facilitator and Mexican illustrator Francisco Leon Silva led the redesign of our website with one guiding question: who are we actually designing for?

He questioned the navigation, rebuilt the visual language, and redesigned the world map itself to reflect a more honest picture of the global community we serve.

The result is a site built through listening and it looks and feels different because of it.

What if everything around you… was something else?

When you picture a brave person, what are they doing? And where did that picture come from?

For most of us, the picture looks loud. Decisive. Certain. Someone acting quickly and without hesitation.

That picture is not wrong. It has held people together in hard moments. And it may be missing something.

What if the brave choices can also come from somewhere quieter? A body that feels safe. A mind that can finally look clearly. A decision that is genuinely yours.

Play for Peace® has been watching this happen in children for twenty-five years. Across dozens of countries. In cooperative play circles, nobody loses, and nobody is left out.

Swipe through, then share it with one person who is thinking carefully about what courage actually requires.

We stand behind children who are doing something extraordinary, making brave choices every single day, in places shaped by conflict, fear, and uncertainty.

They need someone behind them.

That is what your gift does.

We need brave. What is yours?
