Competition isn't necessary for jiu jitsu, but stepping onto the mat against a live opponent in front of a crowd takes courage.

Win or lose, there's something to be said for putting yourself out there and testing your skills.
Proud of these guys for accepting the challenge and representing themselves well.

That 4am alarm clock won't stop this crew! Great way to kick off the Memorial Day weekend 🇺🇸. Good news is, we have one more training session tomorrow at a more convenient time, before the commemoration begins. Don't want to train in the morning... No worries that's why we have evening classes.

🎊🎉 Congratulations to Mark on EARNING the fourth stripe on his white belt. Two years of dedicated training for Mark! Over those two years he's become a great training partner and friend. 🎉🎊

And lastly a shout out to one of our original breakfast club members Jeremy Shomp who goes under the 🔪 today for a minor surgery (non jiu jitsu related 😂).

At Maness Jiu Jitsu we only have three enemies....the couch, the alarm clock, and cauliflower ear. Everyday it's a struggle to beat all three. One of them got Dan today!
