Training students of other academic institutions is part of the model at Manufacturing & Materials Joining Innovation Center (MaยฒJIC), a U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) Industry and University Cooperative Research Center.
Students from high schools, community colleges and welding technology programs spent the last year learning about metals additive manufacturing and performing research at The Ohio State Universityโs Welding Engineering Laboratory. The collective approach equips the future workforce with advanced skills needed in industry.
