Congratulations to three OCS teachers selected for the 2026 Henrion Multicultural Fund for Oldham County Teachers through the Community Foundation of Louisville!

Marilyn Croak (OCHS) will travel to Oaxaca, Mexico for a week-long cultural immersion program timed to the indigenous Guelaguetza festival. Alaina Green (NOHS) will visit London, Oxford, Cambridge, and Chawton for research and professional development. Ryan McAllister (SOHS) will experience Vienna and Salzburg — attending live performances and visiting sites tied to some of history's greatest composers.

The grant has supported educator travel abroad since 2017, with the goal of enriching teachers' perspectives and, in turn, their students' understanding of the wider world.

Erin Marvin, OC SLP, and Angie Lindsey, OC interpreter, hosted a special story time in collaboration with the Oldham County Public Library - LaGrange on June 16th.

The event was designed for children who use augmentative and alternative communication devices and their families. A picture book was read aloud while modeling AAC use, and the group was able to practice ways to engage children during reading.

Another AAC Story Time will be hosted on July 10 at 2pm at the LaGrange Library.
