📚🍎 We're gearing up for Back-to-School shopping at the TRE! Each year, thanks to the generosity of our community, we're able to add a little something extra for teachers.
This year, we're excited to partner with the Larry Mulkey Memorial Road Chick-fil-A to help make Back-to-School shopping even more special for educators. Stay tuned for more details—we can't wait to share what's in store! 💚

🍎✏️ We're asking our community to help us give a little extra support to the educators who shop at the Teacher Reuse Exchange this July for Back-to-School.
We're collecting:
🧻 Paper Towels
🧼 Lysol & Clorox Wipes
🤧 Boxes of Tissues
Every donation helps teachers save money, keep classrooms healthy, and focus on what matters most—students.
Donations can be dropped off at the TRE by June 30th, or contact us if you'd like to organize a collection drive.

Together, we can make a difference for teachers, students, and classrooms across our community. 💚

Please Note: These $20 items are available only to public school teachers.
Our goal is to get these treasures into classrooms where they can directly benefit students. We want to fill classrooms!
Thank you for supporting the TRE and helping us continue our mission of serving teachers, students, nonprofits, and the environment. Every purchase helps keep our doors open and allows us to provide affordable resources to educators who spend so much of their own money on classroom supplies.

Recycling 2,100 pounds of paper and books makes a big impact!
📚🌎 By keeping these materials out of the landfill, we help:
• Save approximately 17 trees
• Conserve thousands of gallons of water
• Reduce energy consumption and pollution
• Lower greenhouse gas emissions
• Give valuable materials a second life through reuse and recycling
At the TRE, sustainability is at the heart of what we do. Every donation, every book reused, and every pound recycled helps protect our environment while supporting teachers, students, and nonprofits.
Together, we're filling classrooms—not landfills! 💚♻️

According to the National Education Association, more than 90% of public school teachers spend their own money to stock their classrooms. Teachers report spending an average of $895 each year out of pocket while facing nearly a 24% increase in supply costs.
At the Teacher Reuse Exchange (TRE), we are committed to helping ease that financial burden. Since opening in 2020, we estimate that more than 2,500 educators have shopped with us, saving a combined estimated $1.25 million in classroom expenses. By providing donated and repurposed resources, we help teachers stretch their budgets so they can focus on what matters most—educating students. 💚📚✏️

Benefits of Planting Five Trees
Did you know that planting just five trees can make a meaningful impact on our environment?
✅ Help absorb carbon dioxide and improve air quality
✅ Provide oxygen for people and wildlife
✅ Reduce stormwater runoff and soil erosion
✅ Create habitat for birds, pollinators, and other wildlife
✅ Help cool neighborhoods and conserve energy
✅ Support healthier, greener communities for future generations
At the TRE, our partnership with BooksRun helps make this possible. By giving resource materials and books a second life, we earn credits that help fund tree planting.
📚➡️🌳 Reuse books. Plant trees. Support the environment.
