Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teacher – Resource Room

**A.L. Holmes Academy of Blended Learning** is seeking a dedicated and passionate **Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teacher ** to join our team. The ideal candidate is committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs through individualized instruction, collaboration, and innovative educational practices.

Position Summary

The ESE Teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to students with learning disabilities, ensuring access to a high-quality educational experience that promotes academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and independence.

# # Responsibilities

* Develop and implement individualized instructional plans aligned with state standards and student IEP goals.
* Deliver specialized instruction to students with learning disabilities in both classroom and blended learning environments.
* Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of academic and behavioral performance.
* Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success.
* Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of student accommodations and modifications.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
* Utilize data-driven practices to inform instruction and interventions.
* Maintain compliance with all special education laws, regulations, and district requirements.

# # Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
* Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate or eligibility to obtain certification.
* Learning Disabilities (SM) endorsement preferred.
* Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and evidence-based instructional strategies.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
* Commitment to student achievement and educational equity.
