Wild West comes to an end. As we enter October we will be doing a woodland critter theme of course we will include bears and camping! 🍂

Trying out one of our "marble" runs we made. We are using craft pom poms today. This has been a lot of fun seeing how when we place things a certain way there is an outcome. Learning about variables and that doing different things or things different ways can yield different results. 👍

🧲Fun with magnets today! Tried pulling a car and some other items with our magnets. It was fun to see what worked and what didn't.

As an early childhood educator of 20 years with a BA degree in the field of Early Childhood Education and mother for 22 years I highly recommend old school Hooked on Phonics! All 3 of my kids were reading chapter books by age 4 and I have since repurchased the same vintage set off eBay so I can continue helping kids learn to read year after year. Hooked on Phonics is used as one of many tools I use to help teach kids to read. I still love it just the same 20 years later. While they have updated over the years and now have an app and everything I personally still always prefer the old school way of teaching and yes even still break out the CD player to use it. 😭
