Behind every smile, every discovery, and every unforgettable summer memory is a community that believes in our children. ❤️
Last week, our campers visited the Cade Museum, where they explored their creativity through hands-on activities like slime making, watercolor painting, and oil pastel art. It was a day filled with imagination, learning, and fun.
These opportunities are possible because of the Children’s Trust of Alachua County (CTAC). Their support allows Kids Count to offer free summer programming to families, ensuring that every child has access to enriching experiences regardless of financial circumstances.
We are incredibly grateful for CTAC’s commitment to investing in our youth and strengthening our community. Thank you for helping us create a summer full of learning, creativity, and opportunity.

Our second big field trip of the summer was a Gator-sized adventure! 🐊🧡💙
Our campers spent the day exploring the University of Florida, meeting student-athletes, touring the stadium, and experiencing campus life firsthand. From asking athletes questions about their journeys to hearing them read stories, our kiddos got a glimpse of what hard work, leadership, and determination can achieve.
We wrapped up the day with a visit to the Reitz Union, where campers explored the game room and bookstore before heading home with lots of memories and maybe even some future college dreams. 💙🧡
A field trip full of inspiration, learning, and Gator pride!

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth—a day that honors freedom, resilience, hope, and the continued pursuit of opportunity for all. ❤️💛💚
At Kids Count, we are honored to be a part of the lives of so many incredible children and families. We are grateful for the trust our families place in us each day and for the opportunity to support, encourage, and uplift the next generation.
Every day, we strive to create a space where children feel valued, empowered, and inspired to reach their full potential. Today, we celebrate the strength of our community, the bright futures of our children, and the families who make our work so meaningful.
Happy Juneteenth from all of us at Kids Count.

Week 2 recap: bounce, splash, paint, repeat! 😎☀️
This week our campers jumped into fun at Bouncers, made waves at the pool, and spent time with a very familiar artist… 🎨👨🏻🎨
“Bob Ross” stopped by to help our campers create their own scenic masterpieces, proving that every child is an artist and every painting deserves a happy little tree. 🌳✨
Another week of laughter, creativity, and unforgettable summer memories in the books!
