To say I am not disappointed would be inaccurate. Because I deeply care for my community, our students, and teachers, my heart đź’ś is sad.

I did tell many people who were my constant encouragers, that if winning a seat meant playing dirty politics, then this isn’t for me.

I ran this race with the heart of loving GISD. I did not threaten and intimidate. I did not run on anger, division, or negativity. Those are not the qualities that define me.

Thank you to all of the loving support I have received. It means the world to me and my family. We love this community and none of this will sour that love.

The most difficult part was our little son who was a huge part of this tell me on the way home how sad he was. He said, “Mom, I watched those other people who were so mean and angry and I just don’t get it?” I told him that it was OK and that I was never willing to be that way in order to win.

To my fellow board members, you each hold a special place in my heart. Ms. Graft, still needs to be held accountable for sharing executive session information to the public (which, by law, is not allowed) and I pray you all will make your voices heard on this.

To the staff, teachers, administrators, and Dr. Glenn, thank you all for your kindness and love. You will all still have my support in every way. You all too, have been vilified and smeared during this campaign and that is NOT OK. You all are the backbone of this community. Stand tall.

To my opponent, understand this job is important and the people you will SERVE deserve respect. Your husband needs to apologize for his behavior throughout this election. This isn’t about him. Faye Landham deserves a public apology.

To those who called me a, co**ie, liberal, satanist, liar, and on and on, how sad you stooped to that level. If winning means you must get on that level, I’m not the person for the job.

Life will go on. I am blessed beyond measure with a husband who supports me in every way, is highly respected in this community, and leads with integrity. I have a fine young man that God placed in my life to step in and raise of which is my finest honor.

I have 3 amazing businesses and co-workers I think the world of. And, I have a ministry that I am passionate about. My life is indeed, very full.

So as I turn the page on this chapter, my heart is heavy yet, I am expecting God to show me His next assignment. He has never let me down. I will continue to seek Him with all of my heart.

When you see me around town, you won’t see me sad-faced. Life is too precious to waste one moment. Please come and give me a hug because, it is you all I love dearly. I love Granbury and that will never change.

And finally remember that each and every day is precious. Don’t waste a second. And always, live fully and abundantly. LIV2DAY!

As I reflect on the past two months, the meet & greets, forums, block walking, meetings, and hanging out at our tent for the past few weeks, I am simply blown away by the beautiful people who have surrounded us. Thank you to all who have been there for us day and night.

I am incredibly thankful for the meaningful friendships both old and new that have formed during this process.

As we head into tomorrow, we've worked hard, persevered through all sorts of trials, and have been immensely blessed. Thank you to all for the numerous ways you've shown support.

It’s really sad when the night before the election that many people from our team are ALL being kicked off of FB! Come on people! Let’s be better than this.

Lessons Learned on the Campaign Trail 11/06/2022

It's been an interesting campaign season no doubt. But, as in everything, lessons can be learned. The best lesson I have learned along the way are the people who are in your corner, and the new friends you meet.

Thank you to my wonderful friends and family who have been there since day one. I have been able to persevere because of each one of you.

Lessons Learned on the Campaign Trail As we look to this Tuesday, November 8, 2022, and head to the polls, I thought I would share some of the lessons I have learned during my re-election
