Parents/Guardians can log in and learn more about their child’s STAAR® results and how they can provide additional support at home—beginning June 10 (end-of-course) and June 16 (grades 3–8).

Access your child's assessment results:

1. Log in to your Parent Portal account
2. Select your Child's Name
3. Select the green Texas Assessment button
4. Learn more about your child's STAAR results, including how your child answered each test question, and find personalized resources to support learning at home.
5. At the beginning of the next school year, discuss the results with your child's teacher and work together to support your child's learning and academic growth.

Good morning. Many of you were asking about the category that Liliana won. The pencil drawing that she worked so long on, placed 7th. There were some incredibly talented students with some beautiful projects. However Liliana had advanced in TWO categories. (Such an honor to be here in even one!)

Her second category was onsite art. She was given a scene and she had a little more than an hour to paint it. You bring your own supplies and have to mix your own colors. The picture on the left is what she had to replicate. The picture on the right is what she submitted a short time later! She also knew we were waiting on her to tour the Grand Ole Opry which is why she was not in some of the early pictures there. No pressure at all!!! She did amazing and made us very proud. They practically look like the same picture! We are sure going to miss this girl!

Calling ALL Hempstead Alumni and Future Alumni…. It's time to celebrate Homecoming! This year's theme, WE ARE HEMPSTEAD….. Through the Ages!!!!, is a call to action for all graduates to come together. We encourage alumni to assemble a float, reserve a section at the game, and wear attire representing their graduation year and extracurricular activities. Let's make this a memorable event for all HHS classes. We will love seeing what you all were apart of in high school! Dress in your football, basketball, volleyball, track, soccer, theatre, baseball, softball cheer, dance, etc jerseys and gear! BE CREATIVE and let’s keep reviving that BOBCAT PRIDE! Hempstead High School proudly congratulates our Salutatorian, Ms. Liliana Herrera, on being named the 2026 National BETA Champion in Senior Onsite Art – Painting Division II at the National BETA Convention in Nashville, Tennessee!

Liliana’s creativity, dedication, and commitment to excellence have earned her a national title, and we could not be more proud. She continues to represent Hempstead High School with distinction both in and out of the classroom.

Today we recognize Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day. Let today be a celebration, a reflection, and a call to keep moving forward together. Reminder, all District buildings and facilities are closed today in observance of Juneteenth and they will reopen on Monday, June 22.
