Chandler Benjamin, PhD, is leading research focused on how cardiovascular tissues respond to mechanical stress and why they fail.

By developing an MRI-compatible testing device, he hopes to identify dangerous tissue weaknesses before rupture occurs, advancing earlier detection and future patient care.

Mehri Mobaraki-Omoumi, MD, PhD, approaches healthcare through both clinical and engineering perspectives. After years of caring for patients with neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, she recognized that many challenges in rehabilitation require more than traditional medicine alone.

Now, Mobaraki-Omoumi is helping prepare future physicianeers to think critically about patient care, innovation and problem-solving in healthcare.

Professor Moriya Tsuji, MD, PhD, is pursuing a different approach to the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases. One that focuses on strengthening the body’s immune response rather than targeting a single pathogen.
