Our Destination Imagination team just placed 4th in the WORLD at Global Finals in Kansas City, Missouri!

Each year, hundreds of teams from countries around the world compete at Globals, making this an incredible accomplishment. We are so proud of our students for their creativity, teamwork, dedication, and hard work. Way to represent Northampton and Klein ISD!

Our 5th graders put their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to the test with an exciting Egg Drop challenge! Students designed and built protective structures to keep their eggs safe from a big drop—using engineering, critical thinking, and lots of collaboration along the way. This hands-on experience connected directly to their learning as they applied science concepts, tested ideas, made improvements, and reflected on what worked best. It was amazing to see learning come to life in such a fun and engaging way!

We are so proud to celebrate outstanding achievements in district coding competitions!

🏆 1st Place – 3rd Grade Block Coding Novice (Code Monkey Jr.)
One of our amazing 3rd grade coders completed 30 challenges in just 20 minutes, earning 27 gold stars (perfect scores) while competing against 133 students across the district!

🏆2nd Place Overall – Text Coding (Coding Adventure)
One of our talented 5th grade coders completed 25 challenges in only 19 minutes, earning 21 gold stars (perfect scores) while competing against 50 students across the district!

A huge shoutout to our dedicated Coding Coaches, Melisa Fernandez and Courtney Griffin, for their leadership, encouragement, and support in helping our students grow their coding skills and problem-solving abilities. We are so proud of these accomplishments and love seeing our students shine in STEAM!

Today our 4th graders explored the Houston Museum of Natural Science 🧭🔭🦴, digging into fossils 🦕, exploring space 🚀, and discovering how the natural world works 🌍🔬.

Our School Showcase Night brought STEAM to life in the most exciting way! Students and families explored hands-on learning through coding club, GT showcases, interactive art experiences, and even special demonstrations from Klein Oak robotics and student clubs that kept everyone engaged and inspired. We also had amazing special guests with chicks and life cycle learning, and students discovered how recycled materials can be transformed into creative works of art. It was a night full of curiosity, creativity, and innovation—showing just how powerful learning can be when STEAM comes alive at Northampton!
