The problem with our "instant-gratification/NOW" culture is that we will try to gather up as much information as possible to go from "I want" to "I have arrived" without even going through the journey in between.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
-How to get more weight on the bar (guilty!)​​​​​​​​
-How to cut fat quickly​​​​​​​​
-How to make money fast​​​​​​​​
-How to be successful by 'X' age​​​​​​​​
-How to quickly move past traumatic events​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
When we don't consistently take the time to process & act on this new information on our own individual timeline (that will look different from other people) it will crash us internally, & eventually, externally.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
So, pump your breaks! Take it all in & process little by little & then act...stop sprinting. Warmups are prescribed for a reason​​​​​​​​

Work towards an awareness to consistently evaluate, process & shift your mental clarity, emotional health, physical health, relational health, spiritual health, & intellectual health. You'll feel lighter for it, giving yourself some understanding & you'll also be understanding of others in the process.​​​​​​​​

The first sign that you are heading towards burnout is getting to Monday (or Sunday for my Saudi clients) morning and feeling like the whole weekend you were in bed and STILL not feeling rested or ready for the week.β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €

-How am I doing physically? Am I moving well, am I doing all my normal activities with full charge? Am I eating things I normally eat and within appropriate proportions?β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
-How am I doing emotionally? Have I had some emotional ups and downs lately? Am I on edge? What's causing it?β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
-How am I doing relationally? Am I spending time with MY people, the people who make me come alive? Have I been getting in arguments with those around me more easily? Have I been shutting people out?β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
-How am I doing spiritually? Have I been spending time being mindful or praying/meditating? Am I feeling fulfillment in my spirituality like normal?β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
-How am I doing mentally? Am I getting stuck in my own head? Constantly trashing everything I do and everything someone says to me? Am I dwelling on things mentally to the point of numbing out to shut out the thoughts? What's been going on around me to cause this?β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
