🎉 Edison Kids is officially 8 years old! 🎉
What began with a dream to inspire kids through creativity, STEM, and hands-on learning has grown into an amazing community of builders, makers, inventors, and innovators.
To celebrate, we’re launching our newest program…
🧱✨ LEGO Creator Lab ✨🧱
A place where imagination meets engineering through fun design challenges, creative problem-solving, and hands-on building.
Thank you to every student, parent, volunteer, and supporter who has been part of this journey. ❤️

🎬 How does animation work?
Yesterday our young animators explored one of the earliest animation devices ever invented: the Thaumatrope!
A thaumatrope uses a scientific principle called Persistence of Vision. When the disc spins quickly, our brains blend the images together, creating the illusion of a single moving picture.
Long before Pixar, Disney, and computer animation, inventors were experimenting with devices like this to understand how our eyes and brains perceive motion.
It’s amazing to think that the same science behind this simple spinning disc is still used in every animated movie we watch today!
🎬 Before Pixar, there was the Thaumatrope!
Yesterday our campers discovered how animation began by creating one of the earliest animation devices. When spun quickly, our eyes and brains combine two images into one—a phenomenon called Persistence of Vision.
The same science that makes this simple disc work is the foundation of modern animation! ✨

It never gets old watching rockets launch 🚀
Yesterday at Kennedy Space Center, our Edison Kids field trip turned into something unforgettable… a live launch right in front of us.
If you’ve ever tried to plan around launches, you know it doesn’t always work out—but yesterday it did, and it was incredible for the kids to experience.
This is why we love what we do—creating opportunities for kids to see and experience things they won’t forget.
These are the moments that take learning beyond worksheets and screens— where kids don’t just learn about engineering… they feel it.
Kits build robots. Edison Kids builds engineers.
And sometimes… we get front row seats to history.
Mission: retrieve the rover 🚀
This is just one of the many missions they’ll complete in our LEGO Robotics Space Camp.
Not just LEGO—real robotics.
Spots are limited.
