आज Damthang Sec. School, मा *भारतीय भाषा ग्रीष्मकालीन शिविर २०२६* को दिन *"Culture Appreciation Day" को रूपमा भव्य रूपमा मनाइयो।
आजको मुख्य उद्देश्य - हाम्रो विविध संस्कृति र पहिचानलाई चिन्ने र सम्मान गर्ने। Auditorium Hall रङ्गीचङ्गी भयो जब विद्यार्थीहरूले *शेर्पा, तामाङ, राई र नेपाली* समुदायको परम्परागत भेषभूषा लगाएर प्रस्तुति दिए।
1. *भेषभूषा प्रस्तुति*: प्रत्येक विद्यार्थीले आफ्नो समुदायको भेषभूषा लगाएर त्यो dress को नाम, महत्व र लगाउने तरिकाको बारेमा सबैलाई जानकारी गराए। बख्खु, चौबन्दी चोलो, हाकु-पाटासी, दौमुरी लगायतका पहिरनले सबैको मन लोभ्यायो।
2. *सांस्कृतिक नृत्य*: जानकारी पछि सबै विद्यार्थीहरूले आफ्नो भेषभूषामै मञ्चमा नाचेर प्रस्तुति दिए। शेर्पा नृत्य, तामाङ सेलो, राई साकेला र नेपाली लोक नृत्यमा हल नै गुञ्जायमान भयो।
शिक्षकहरूले भन्नुभयो - "भाषा सिक्नुका साथै आफ्नो संस्कृति र पहिरनको सम्मान गर्नु पनि 'एक भारत श्रेष्ठ भारत' को सच्चा उदाहरण हो।"

*🚦 Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp 2026 - Day 4: "Safety on Wheels" 🚦*
Day 4 of *Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp 2026* at Damthang Sec. School, was all about learning to be responsible citizens!
Today’s theme was *"Traffic Rules Awareness"*. Our students didn’t just learn traffic rules from books - they demonstrated them through *practical activities* right in the school ground.
Senior students became "Traffic Instructors" and taught their juniors about:
1. *Zebra Crossing* - How to cross safely
2. *Traffic Signals* - Meaning of Red, Yellow, Green lights
3. *Road Signs* - Stop, No Entry, Speed Limit & more
4. *Helmet & Seatbelt Safety* - "Safety first, always!"
Using handmade signs and role-play, the kids showed how to walk on footpaths, look left-right-left before crossing, and respect traffic signals. The message was clear: _“Rules save lives”_.
Through this activity, students learned discipline, road safety, and the importance of following traffic rules from a young age. Proud of our young traffic champions! 👏
*🍲 Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp 2026 - Day 3: "Taste of Tradition" 🍛*
आज Damthang Sec. School, मा चलिरहेको *भारतीय भाषा ग्रीष्मकालीन शिविर २०२६* को तेस्रो दिन "Traditional Food Day" को रूपमा भव्य रूपमा मनाइयो।
Auditorium Hall भित्र सांस्कृतिक र स्वादको मेला लाग्यो। सबै विद्यार्थीहरूले आफ्नो घरबाट विभिन्न स्वादिष्ट परम्परागत खानेकुराहरू ल्याएका थिए। नेपाली, राई, शेर्पा, लेप्चा लगायत विभिन्न समुदायको परिकार एकै ठाउँमा देख्दा "विविधतामा एकता" प्रत्यक्ष महसुस भयो।
कार्यक्रमको मुख्य आकर्षण - *Food Sharing Session*। साना-साना बालबालिकाहरूले आफूले ल्याएको खाना एक-अर्कासँग साटासाट गरेर खाए। यसबाट उनीहरूले खानाको मात्र होइन, संस्कृति, प्रेम र मित्रताको पनि आदानप्रदान गरे।
शिक्षकहरूले यस activity को उद्देश्यबारे जानकारी गराउँदै भन्नुभयो - "भाषा सिक्नुका साथै हाम्रो खानपान र परम्परालाई पनि जोगाउनु पर्छ। यो नै साँचो 'एक भारत श्रेष्ठ भारत' हो।"
Day 3 यसरी नै हाँसो, खुसी र स्वादका साथ समापन भयो।
📚 भारतीय भाषा ग्रीष्मकालीन शिविर २०२६ सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न! 🇮🇳*
आज Damthang Sec. School, को Auditorium Hall मा *भारतीय भाषा ग्रीष्मकालीन शिविर २०२६* को उपलक्ष्यमा भाषा विविधताको भव्य प्रस्तुति भयो।
कार्यक्रमको शुभारम्भ *वाणी श्री गणेश प्रसाद फोकेरेल* ज्यूले *संस्कृत भाषा* मा स्वागत मन्तव्य र आशीर्वचनबाट गर्नुभयो।
त्यसपछि *वाणी मिस बविता माङ्गेर* ले *नेपाली भाषा* मा शिविरको उद्देश्य र स-साना विद्यार्थीहरुलाई जानकारी गराउनुभयो।
यस क्रममा विद्यार्थीहरुले मातृभाषा र क्षेत्रीय भाषाको महत्व पनि बुझे:
1. *राई भाषा* - *मिस रश्मी राई* ले प्रस्तुति दिनुभयो
2. *शेर्पा भाषा* - *मिस छिमी ल्हामु शेर्पा* ले जानकारी गराउनुभयो
"एक भारत श्रेष्ठ भारत" को भावना अनुसार बालबालिकाहरुले गीत, कथा र उच्चारण मार्फत विविध भाषाको ज्ञान लिएका थिए।
REPORT ON INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA CELEBRATION
Date: 21stJune 2026
The International Day of Yoga was observed with great enthusiasm and positive spirit in our school on 21st June 2026. The day was observed in the school Auditorium Hall in the morning where all the students, teachers and non- teaching staff was present and participated actively.
The students were guided by Yoga instructor Ms Rashmi Rai along with Pramila Rai through various yoga postures, breathing exercises and meditation techniques. The instructor explained the benefits of each posture and encouraged everyone to make yoga a part of their daily routine.
The event created awareness about the significance of yoga in leading a healthy and happy life. It also promoted discipline, concentration and harmony among the students.
The week-long Bharatiya Bhasa Summer Camp / ISL 2026 commenced successfully today at the Government Secondary School, Damthang.
Conducted by the Special Educator Ms. Hashina Chhetri, the event was characterised by enthusiasm, vitality, and a positive atmosphere as students, educators, and non-teaching staff participated actively.
The day began with a comprehensive briefing on the camp guidelines, followed by an engaging introduction to Indian Sign Language (ISL). Participants acquired basic greetings, expressions, alphabets, colours, and the names of various locations. By the conclusion of the session, all participants proudly signed their own names in ISL. This marks a commendable beginning to a week dedicated to learning, inclusion, and fostering connections.

Today was a very special day at *Damthang Sec. School* as our sweet *Chemela Sherpa from Class II* celebrated her birthday 🥳
On this joyful occasion, *Chemela's parents* made the day even more memorable by arranging a delicious *Diwa Bhoj for the entire DSS family* - all students, teachers and staff.
Along with that, they also distributed *sweets to all the children*, bringing big smiles to everyone's faces. Seeing the happiness of the kids was the best gift of all ❤️
