Pack Your Bags Friday: 8 Legendary Hikes Across the USA
Some trails are just trails. Others feel like you accidentally stepped into an adventure movie.
This week, we’re packing up for 8 legendary hikes across the USA, the kind with cliffside views, glacier fields, canyon walls, ocean ridges, and “how is this real?” moments.
🥾 Angels Landing — Zion National Park, UtahA heart-racing climb with chains, cliffs, and one of the most famous views in America. Not for the faint of knees.
🏔️ Half Dome — Yosemite National Park, CaliforniaGranite walls, cable climbs, and a summit view that makes every step feel worth it.
🌄 Bright Angel Trail — Grand Canyon, ArizonaA legendary descent into the canyon, where the views are unreal, and the hike back up is very, very real.
🌲 Highline Trail — Glacier National Park, MontanaAlpine views, wildflower meadows, mountain goats, and the kind of scenery that makes you forget your legs are tired.
🌊 Kalalau Trail — Kauai, HawaiiEleven rugged miles along the Nā Pali Coast, with ocean cliffs, jungle valleys, and pure island magic.
❄️ Harding Icefield Trail — Kenai Fjords, AlaskaA climb from forest to ice age, ending with a massive frozen horizon that looks like another planet.
⛰️ Franconia Ridge Loop — White Mountains, New HampshireA classic East Coast ridge walk with big mountain views, rocky climbs, and serious “earned it” energy.
🪜 Precipice Trail — Acadia National Park, MaineIron rungs, cliffside scrambling, Atlantic views, basically a jungle gym built into a mountain.
Whether you’re chasing canyon sunsets, glacier views, or just a good excuse to get outside, these hikes prove you don’t have to leave the country to find something legendary.
And wherever the trail leads, bring a tote that’s been built for the journey.

Hey Travelers,
Before Taaluma was a business, it was just two college students with backpacks.
While traveling through Uganda, our founders Jack & Alley, came across a local fabric market. Alley had a skirt made from a colorful piece of fabric she found. Not wanting to be left out, Jack had a backpack made from one too.
Something funny happened. People kept stopping them."Where did you get that backpack?"
The backpack became a conversation starter. A simple piece of fabric connected people who had never met, sparked conversations about travel, culture, and places far from home.
That moment planted a seed.
What if a backpack could do more than just carry your stuff?
What if it could carry a story?
What if it could connect people to cultures around the world?
And what if every backpack could help create opportunity for someone else?
That tiny idea became Taaluma.
The name "Taaluma" means culture in Swahili, and that mission still drives everything we do today. Every fabric is inspired by a place, a tradition, and a culture worth celebrating.
And with every tote purchased, part of the profits help fund interest-free microloans for farmers and small business owners around the world.
Today, because of people like you, Taaluma has helped fund hundreds of thousands of dollars in microloans across dozens of countries, supporting entrepreneurs, families, and communities who simply needed an opportunity.
And honestly, that's still our favorite part of this journey.
So whether you've been with us since the Shark Tank days or just discovered Taaluma recently, thank you for being part of the story.
As a small thank-you, we're doing something special this weekend:

Clement from United States 🇺🇸
Thank you for supporting us, so we can support people like Clement from the United States. Your purchase helped fund a microloan to help support an African-rooted arts educational program in NYC schools.
I was born and raised in Ghana and later moved abroad, where I experienced how powerful it is to stay connected to your culture through dance and music. My journey as a dancer, educator, and cultural organizer has shaped my desire to share those experiences with others, especially young people who may not always see their identities reflected in school environments. TIKoRO is a direct extension of my personal story and commitment to cultural connection and community.
I am deeply motivated by the impact I see in students—watching them gain confidence, feel seen, and connect with one another through our programs. My passion comes from knowing that the arts can be a powerful tool for empowerment, belonging, and self-expression. I am driven to continue growing TIKoRO so that more students can experience that same sense of joy, identity, and connection.

5 Hawaiian Trails Worth Every Step 🌺
Some places are meant to be explored on foot, and Hawaii might be at the top of the list. From bamboo forests and volcanic coastlines to cliffs towering above the ocean, these trails turn an ordinary walk into the kind of adventure that makes you stop every few minutes just to say, wow.
🌺 Kalalau Trail – KauaiTowering green cliffs, crashing waves, hidden beaches, and views that almost look edited. This is the trail that makes you feel like you accidentally wandered into Jurassic Park.
🌺 Pipiwai Trail – MauiWalk through an enormous bamboo forest, past giant trees, and toward waterfalls. Every turn somehow gets better than the last.
🌺 Diamond Head Summit Trail – OahuA classic for a reason. The payoff at the top gives you panoramic ocean views that make the climb feel very worth it.
🌺 Makapuʻu Lighthouse Trail – OahuAn easy coastal walk with nonstop ocean views. If you're lucky, you might even spot whales in the distance.
🌺 Pololu Valley Trail – Big IslandSteep cliffs, dramatic coastlines, and one of those landscapes that feels untouched and wildly beautiful.
Some trails are just exercise. These feel more like adventures. 🌴
