Battle Born Academy Families:
It is with heavy hearts that we share that the Board of Directors of Battle Born Academy (BBA) voted unanimously at its June 18, 2025 meeting to close the school and relinquish its charter. As a result of this decision, BBA will not reopen for the 2025–2026 school year.
This difficult decision was made after careful consideration and reflects the Board’s conclusion that the school’s academic and financial operations were no longer sustainable.
BBA has appointed Josh Kern as the Closing Administrator. Mr. Kern will be overseeing the school’s closure and serving as a resource for families during this process. He can be reached at [email protected] or 202-277-8627.
