to play instead of seeking an outcome and end result

also a play day with other creatives I did love how our instructor Tricia Tan-poupard_watercolors diluted her colors and we all painted this flower. no 2 were alike, because how could they be we all have our own vision and personality infused with our paints

this was once the most magical thing and newest type of technology. and things were simple we got what we needed but not everything from every part of the world in one way it was enough. we weren't overwhelmed by all the outside things. then it became more advanced more and more things were added to our everyday.

we need to take a break
enjoy the slow
the simple

but you will learn more about friends over lunch
you will laugh more
create more
and enjoy more

when you dont want to go to far... but you also dont want to stop. you paint on several at a time. you step back a lot and do other things in between.

ink painting. with sticks. and then adding some pops of color.... this beautiful sunflower will be going to its new home in 2 weeks

found nature objects, using sticks to draw with inks, doodling using odd objects found in your junk drawers lol.

I'm not much of a doodler but I actually had fun and was surprised by what came out. the biggest surprise was what my favorite found piece revealed to my heart and soul. its to personal to share now and here. I hope someday you attend an art retreat that helps you grow vertical, opens your soul and heals parts and pieces that were thought to be forever broken.

the last night skies were fantastic, giving us a parting gift. a little rain, a rainbow then... shades of blue, hints of yellow a little purple too

my roommates, my fun car passengers, my sightseeing buddies. we laughed and oihhh'd and ahhhh'd over some silly things and beautiful places
