Over the past few years, the Japanese surfskate scene has grown massively, with more riders, events, brands, and creative communities pushing the culture forward. From the streets of Tokyo to the coastal roads of Miyazaki, surfskating in Japan has developed its own unique style.

One of the riders helping shape that generation is ._.yamaguchi . Known for his stylish street lines, ditch skating, and creative visuals, Shotaro represents the artistic and free-flowing side of Japanese surfskating.

We caught up with him to talk about life in Miyazaki, his love for surfing, filming, music, and how surfskating continues to motivate him in every possible way.
