• Global Total: Michael generated an estimated $217 million to $218.8 million worldwide in its first weekend.

• Domestic Total (US/Canada): The film earned roughly $97 million, well above initial projections which were in the $50-$70 million range.

• International Total: The film grossed approximately $120-$121 million in 82 international markets.

• Records Broken: It secured the biggest opening weekend of all time for any musical biopic, passing 2018's Bohemian Rhapsody ($51M domestic) and 2015's Straight Outta Compton ($60M domestic).

• Global Ranking: It is the second-biggest debut of 2026 so far, behind The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

When SPiN LA ® alum .brummer was 6 years old he did a video skit (first clip) to the king of pop Michael Jackson. 6 years later at 12 years old Kameron is now acting (he’s in the trailer) in the feature film about Michael’s life. That’s definitely putting it out in the universe. Congratulations Kameron. We are proud of you. “Michael” is out in theaters April 24th 2026.
