Our 5th grade class got to meet their 7th grade pen pals today! Students have been writing to each other and finally got to meet in person! Many of the 7th grade students are SPES alumni! We were so excited to welcome them back to campus and have them share their wisdom of middle school for our nearly graduated 5th graders! Students played games and bonded over pizza!! Shout out to the counseling department for setting the event up!! ¡Nuestra clase de quinto grado se reunió con sus amigos por correspondencia de 7o grado hoy! ¡Los estudiantes se han estado escribiendo entre sí y finalmente se han conocido en persona! ¡Muchos de los estudiantes de 7o grado son exalumnos de SPES! ¡Estábamos muy emocionados de darles la bienvenida de nuevo al campus y hacer que compartieran su sabiduría de la escuela secundaria para nuestros casi graduados de quinto grado! ¡¡Los estudiantes jugaron y se unieron con pizza!! ¡¡Un saludo al departamento de asesoramiento por organizar el evento!!

Biomedical science week was a great success! Shout out to our school’s very creative Einstein Committee! They had so many amazing activities including a detective case for who stole Ms. Botello’s cookie! Students used their knowledge of DNA, fingerprint analysis, and blood types to figure out the mystery! ¡La semana de la ciencia biomédica fue un gran éxito! ¡Un saludo al muy creativo Comité Einstein de nuestra escuela! ¡Tenían tantas actividades increíbles, incluido un caso de detective para quién robó la galleta de la Sra. Our K-2 students had the best Benchmark Pep Rally!! A special monster, Plory, came out to dance!!! Students played carnival games, blew bubbles, ate popsicles, and got some fake rock and roll tattoos!! We are ready to ROCK 🤘🎸🎉 the test tomorrow and Wednesday!

¡¡Nuestros estudiantes de K-2 tuvieron el mejor Benchmark Pep Rally!! ¡¡¡Un monstruo especial, Plory, salió a bailar!!! ¡Los estudiantes jugaron juegos de carnaval, soplaron burbujas, comieron paletas y se obtuvieron algunos tatuajes falsos de rock and roll! ¡Estamos listos para ROCKEAR 🤘🎸🎉 la prueba mañana y el miércoles!

Anything BUT a backpack day was very silly!! Great job STEM thinkers! ¡¡Cualquier cosa MENOS un día de mochila fue muy tonto!! ¡Buen trabajo, pensadores de STEM!
