Coral reefs do so much more than create beautiful underwater landscapes 🪸But today, reefs are facing growing threats from rising ocean temperatures, pollution, disease, coastal development, and a lot of human impacts. As these pressures increase, so does the need for hands-on restoration and community-driven conservation 🌱
That’s why our Rescue a Reef x ResilientSea citizen science expedition was such a meaningful experience. Together, participants learned about coral reef ecology and coral gardening while helping maintain the underwater coral nursery, monitor the Paradise Reef restoration site, and outplant 80+ corals back onto the reef.🥳
Follow along with us and to learn more and stay tuned for future opportunities to get involved!!!
