A recent study found that 53% of women now consider themselves the chief financial officers or their homes, which is a 4% increase from two years ago.
However, in the same study, fewer than half of the women surveyed said that they felt confident about their financial plans for retirement.
These stats don’t surprise me because I see this every day in my business. Women are earning more yet prioritizing themselves less.
As women we’re so busy caring for and planning for everyone else, that oftentimes, we don’t plan for ourselves.
Here are three things every woman needs to prioritize when it comes to herself:
✅ 1. A plan that takes care of you if you get sick, hurt, or can’t work.
✅ 2. A Save My Life account, so you can buy your freedom instead of staying in a relationship or at a job because you can’t to afford to leave.
✅ 3. Your affairs in order so that your hard work and money don’t get cut in half when you do something as natural as die.

People come to me for financial advice thinking that there is some magical formula or answer to their problems.
Here’s the thing, the answer is: YOU.
Sure, there are investment strategies, financial tools and products that can assist you in your journey to financial freedom, but NONE OF THEM MATTER unless you understand the power that YOU possess.
✅Breaking free of the limiting beliefs that others imposed onto you, is something that only YOU can do.
✅Having the courage to get started and the discipline to keep going, even when it’s challenging, is only something YOU can do.
✅Changing the thoughts, habits and actions that are keeping you stuck in scarcity-land is only something that YOU can do.
We live in a time space reality where the latest AI can create a roadmap to financial freedom, and yet, you’re still in the same position you were in before you typed the prompt, because THE ANSWER IS YOU!
Don’t worry, though, as long as you’re alive, you can ALWAYS DO BETTER.
The first step to doing better is deciding to, and the second step is not giving a fck what ANYBODY says or thinks. Literally, truly, and disrespectfully.
Bonus step: Keep going and be open to pivoting- it’s ALL a part of the process.

Oftentimes, women come to me with hopes of me talking to their husband on their behalf. While I agree that couples should be on the same page when it comes to their finances, I do not condone financial abuse.
Any man worth his salt embodies qualities such as discipline, determination, dedication, and hard work- and no matter how much he loves you, he won’t allow you to burn down what he’s built because you can’t control your spending habits.
The saying goes: if you want to change someone, start by changing yourself!
This applies to husbands, too 😉
