✨️ The Government of Ghana has officially reverted the name of Kotoka International Airport (KIA) to its original name Accra International Airport(AIA) according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Transport on 23rd February 2026.
✨️Authorities clarified that the renaming will not affect airport operations safety standards or international travel arrangements. Importantly within the records of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) the airport code “ACC” has remained unchanged.
✨️The Ministry outlined that implementation of the renaming will involve systematic updates to:
●Official documentation
●Statutory instruments where necessary
●Airport signage
●Digital platforms
●Aviation publications
●Related communication materials
✨️The airport is operated by Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL).

✨️ Riyadh Air has announced the launch of new non-stop flights connecting Riyadh (RUH) Saudi Arabia and Cairo (CAI) Egypt. The service is set to commence soon as part of the airline’s initial network rollout.
✨️ The airline will operate daily flights on this route using its new state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
✨️ Riyadh Air is expected to take delivery of its first aircraft in the coming weeks and is poised to launch commercial services to London (LHR) Dubai (DXB) and Cairo (CAI) shortly thereafter.

✨️Qantas Airways has announced the launch of new seasonal non-stop flights connecting Sydney (SYD)Australia and Las Vegas (LAS) USAset to commence on 29th December 2026 through to March 2027.
✨️The airline will operate three weekly flights on Tuesdays Thursdays and Sundays on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
