Mariachi Hidalgo NYC mourns the passing of Maestro Ángel López 💔🎻🕊️
Today, we honor the life and legacy of a remarkable musician, educator, mentor, and dear family friend.
This loss is deeply personal to our family. My siblings and I had the privilege of studying directly under Maestro López through private lessons, where he shared not only his extraordinary musical knowledge, but also his passion, discipline, and love for mariachi.
Over the years, Maestro López became more than a teacher to us—he became a cherished friend of our family. His guidance and generosity left a lasting impact on our lives and helped shape our musical journeys.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the López family, his students, friends, and the entire Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán family during this difficult time.
