The amount of myths about first aid and how to care for people is overwhelming. One of them is that you should "reach" into someone’s mouth when their having a seizure, so you could hold their tongue during an episode. Have you ever wondered how long should you leave a Band-Aid on? Well, you should keep a wound covered with a Band-Aid for at least 1 day. However, if it takes your injury a bit longer to heal, you may have to keep it covered for 2 days. It just depends on how fast your body recovers! There you go! Band-Aids are a part of our first aid kits :) Check the link in our bio for more info!
We can provide (virtual and socially distanced safety classes) for families and individuals. Reach out now.

When camping, and in case of an animal bite or sting: Wash the wound thoroughly with soap and warm water to reduce the risk of infection being transferred from the animal.
Raise and support the wound and pat it dry, preferably with clean gauze from your first aid kit. Then cover it with a sterile wound dressing.
