Friends screwed by Katherine Gibbs

I'm a little disappointed by the messages I've been getting in regards to trying to fight the debts because of school closure. What really makes me sad is that most people have tried the first time and just because they don't try a second time, they quit. Then they whine about it like there's nothing else that can be done. Yes, you can do something about it and that is by resubmitting these cases over and over again because the Department of Education will have to answer for it and they have to respond accordingly with a major reason to investigate this school and it's subsidiaries again. If you don't want to do anything about it, then that is your choice and don't complain about the debt you have because that is worse than actually taking time out of your day to file a rightful complaint to get your debt cleared. Sometimes we may not have that time, but if you really want to right a wrong such as this, you make the time. Is it really that hard to find your old school agreements, flyers, paper work, etc. Anything and everything that you can use to show that they are responsible and they fu**ed us all. If you want to get out of this hole, then do it! If you don't, don't wait for any lawsuits to magically appear that you can join because as easy as one would wish that was the case, it isn't. We as a whole have to make it happen and we don't, then nothing will ever get resolved. And we definitely can't trust our local and government leaders right now because all they're trying to do is screw us even further until we have nothing to fight for. For those that do care, then I commend you for continuing to fight for your rights and for those that don't, you're leaving everyone else hanging including yourself when you can be showing these people that we're not going to suffer anymore. If you really want this, then stand up and say you won't be a victim anymore.

Remember to include all of your personal experiences even if it takes up up to more than two pages. The bigger the complaint the better, all your form agreements from the school, pamphlets and other bogus information that they sold you on to enroll at the school, all your loan information, financial status, and more importantly, Google and print all articles relating to Katherine Gibbs official closure from 2010 and there are some excellent articles on predatory schools as well as news reports from CBS NY and other outlets that you can print and include with your argument/situation for the discharge.

It sounds alot harder than it really is, but if you don't do this, then how can we all get out of this hole if people don't take notice more clearly and loudly to this situation. You'll only be helping yourself, but open the door for everyone else to get out of debt that they put us in.

I'm getting sorts of questions regarding lawsuits and if we should sue? The answer is hell yes. But you also report the school personally to the Department of Education as "CLOSED". It is really important that you do this for several reasons.

1. To get more people who have gone to this school to say that they never got to finish or that they never received a legitimate diploma from this school.

2. To report your personal experiences of what happend at the school and if they were all bad before and after, just concentrate on reporting everything that you were personally wronged on. The more the DOE sees this, the bigger the chance of that we can right this wrong.

3. Just do it anyway. I say this because you have absolutely nothing to lose by doing this. Do it a hundred times, if you need to! The more you do it and the more you give proof, the stronger the chances your debt could be forgiven and the school would be completely liable.

If you have their old pamplets, news paper ads, catalogs, etc. all the bu****it they sold us on, make copies of them and send it to them! Send them all all local, and national cases regarding this school especially "SCHOOL CLOSURE". This will help immensely!

If you have the original contracts and information they gave you including the loan papers make copies and send that to them too.

Just fight! Fight for your rights!!! Keep trying to get our debts clear because it's not fair that these people should get away with this scot free.

It's a time of change and fighting against student loan debt is a big and very important thing. So send all your information to them and don't give up without a fight.

So go to the Department of Education and file for School Closure right away!!!

I can't believe it's been 20 years since I made the mistake of going to this school like many of you have. It's amazing that back then there was no laws or regulations to supervise and observe to see if this was an accredited school. If I were to do this over...I would've just gone to regular college and start over...then build up my skill set that way like I have without this miserable place.

The question of the day for you guys...."What do you regret most about going to this school most besides your debts?" Remember its your experiences...Mine were just as bad, if not worse! So curse if you have to!

Okay now that this page is back active, let's take a roll call. What I mean is whoever is new or following this page, please tell us who you are, where you're from and why you were tricked into going to Katherine Gibbs in the first place. The more we share, the more power we have to get everyone who cares to do something about this once and for all if you're up to it. Don't be shy.

3. Be Civil to each other. Everyone has different opinions and experiences. No one should degrade or ridicule anyone here for any reason.

4.If there are problems with posters, please talk to yourselves in private about the matter. Show respect to your other posters on this site. Please don't make me have to step in and resolve something that shouldn't even be escalated at all. Remember we all got screwed by KG. We're not the enemy, they are.

5. Anyone threatening, menacing, cursing or making fun of anyone who posts here will automatically be banned and your comments deleted. Sorry but bullies or the sort should not be tolerated or allowed. Spammers will also be banned as well. I've already banned someone for this. Don't follow their lead.

I'm sorry folk posting on this page for not being more active in updating it. I've been thinking of ways to help those who have been fu**ed over by this school. I sincerely apologize for that. I want to do more to help. There are ways to take care of these issues with this school now that has been closed for more than 8 years. Obviously the first way is to sue them. The only way for that to work is for everyone there to actually share their stories on this page which would help matters. Everyone has a horror story they want to share and they should definitely do so. Don't be shy, curse them out. Express your thoughts. We're here to listen to you. That is the point. To join together and share thoughts, opinions. It's very important. Secondly, look for a release form through Google which is a school release form. It is a PDS file and submit it. Explain your situation and story about this school. We're here to back up the claim we're all in the same boat. The sooner the better. Why keep paying for garbage when you should be concentrating on your own personal needs and problems. Look I'm not going to beat around the bush okay. There is no easy fix to issues like this but where there's a will, there's a way. Fight for your rights. Like I keep doing so, no matter what. Don't let this get in the way of living your lives or let them ruin anything that you've ever dreamed of doing. Katherine Gibbs will have to pay us all back. So people, do it.

Well this will be the last post on this page due to some idiot that really just ticked me off and since he feels that I talk a big game and this page is worthless, then I will delete it. Sorry, but unfortunately I've tried to help people with this issue, but you can't help yourselves, then what good is it.
