This group was created as a space where women who fight could support one another in their quest to be their strongest, most badass selves.
She Fights was created as a place for women fighters to find a community. The foundation has two branches: the Youth Boxing Program, which offers free boxing classes to young girls from low income backgrounds, and Feminist Fight Club, which allows fighters the opportunity to interact, spar, and mentor one another. Our founder, Cristina Gonzalez, on why she started She Fights, and what boxing has meant to her.
"I hope our boxing program allows our girls to see themselves as forces of nature, unstoppable in their resolve to become their strongest selves. I hope it changes the way the world sees women, and starts noticing the power we possess in our ability to endure and overcome. Ultimately, I want our girls to look at themselves in the mirror and ask, "What can't I do?" I hope they set out to find the answer, and discover that there is little they can’t achieve."
