Today, we kicked off the second session of Leveraging AI to Strengthen Instructional Coherence, our new three-part leadership series in partnership with !
Last week, district leaders came together to wrestle with important questions around AI, instructional coherence, trust, implementation, and the future of teaching and learning.
Because the reality is: AI is already here. The question is how schools use it in ways that strengthen instruction without sacrificing critical thinking, professional judgment, or human connection.
As our CEO Dr. Carolyne Quintana shared, “We do not have to choose between innovation and humanity.”
We believe AI has real potential, but only when paired with thoughtful leadership, strong instructional systems, and the human judgment educators bring to their work every day.
Shout out to our incredible coaches, Lance Ozier and Ana Vargas, for facilitating these rich conversations and to Dr. Carolyne Quintana, Hewette Moore, Jelbin DeLaCruz and Nadine Dillon, CPC who came out to represent Team Teaching Matters!

This weekend, we’ll be at NYSALAS’ 6th Annual Leadership Conference for a powerful gathering centered on purpose, clarity, and collective impact!
Our CEO, Dr. Carolyne Quintana, is honored to serve as keynote speaker, and we’re excited to lead a session alongside Superintendents Renzo Martinez and Camille Wallin on “Building Coherent Instructional Systems Through District and School Partnerships.”
We know that real impact happens when vision, leadership, coaching, and instruction move together. That is why spaces like this matter. They create room for leaders to wrestle with real challenges, exchange practical strategies, and build stronger systems for students and schools.
We’re grateful to be in community with education leaders from across New York this weekend.
If you’ll be there, we’d love to connect!

We’re so grateful to this amazing team for showing up with heart, determination, and generosity.
Every mile run and every dollar raised helps power stronger teaching and deeper learning.
Please join us in celebrating our Paris Marathon runners and this incredible accomplishment!

At Teaching Matters, we don’t treat culture as a side conversation. It shapes how we show up and how we grow.
Yesterday’s quarterly all-staff retreat gave us space to ask better questions, reflect honestly, and get clear together.
And in between all of that? Laughter, debates, and a few very persuasive “deserted island” survival strategies.
Because we don’t do our best work in silos. We do it together.
Thoughtful. Collaborative. A little silly. Just how we like it. Here’s to Team Teaching Matters!

When teachers are more prepared and have the tools they need to be effective educators, student performance increases. That's why our coaches partner with teachers to help them be the best educators they can – with real results and measurable change.
Data shows that in the 2024-2025 school year, Teaching Matters saw an average of 77% increase in teacher competency when planning whole group instruction.

A new study reminds us of what we already know: building teacher capacity is essential. The strongest learning happens when teachers feel supported, equipped and trusted to lead change.
In our partnerships, when schools invest in professional learning and ongoing coaching, the impact is clear: students thrive. Recent outcomes in NYC highlight stronger gains in reading proficiency for multilingual learners, students with disabilities, and Black and Hispanic students.
The lesson is simple. If we want better outcomes for kids, we need to keep investing in the adults who guide their learning.
