The 2018 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru from Roumier is a masterpiece, with aromas of black cherry, blueberry, rose petals, zesty orange rind and a touch of exotic spices. On the palate, it’s full-bodied, with a rich and layered mid-palate, succulent tannins and a bright, mineral finish. This is very much built for the long haul.

It was a helluva time at ‘s pool party!

One of the world’s most visionary winemakers, produces a rosé from the rare, dark-skinned Prieto Picudo, grown in the region of León, Spain. Explosive aromas of strawberries, cassis and cherries followed by some spice and minerality. Very classy. This has been the wine of the summer for me.

The 2018 Bergström Pre du Col Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley was my WOTN. It was vibrant, with notes of dark cherry, raspberries, to***co, mocha, forest floor and roses. So elegant with a beautiful long finish. What a stunner.
