Hold Police Accountable with an Elected Civilian Review Board

It's been 3 years since George Floyd's brutal murder ignited the country in a call for justice, and the NY City Council has done NOTHING to pass real police reform.

We are calling on and to hold a hearing now on the Community POWER Act, to bring empowered oversight over the NYPD.

It has been introduced for a full year and is being blocked by both of them from having a hearing.

The Community POWER Act stands for Police Oversight With Elected Review, and establishes an elected and empowered civilian review board and Independent Prosecutor able to hold police accountable.

Every week a new story proves the NYPD can't and won't police itself. Until we give the public the ability to hold police accountable, we are just waiting for another senseless death at the hands of officers.
