Pic #1 How I want to feel. Pic #2 How I actually feel.
We all have times when we put on a brave face and pretend that everything is OK, even when we’re struggling with illness. But it’s important to remember to take care of ourselves and to give ourselves grace. It’s also important to be transparent with the people around us about the battles we’re facing. You never know how much you could help someone else by sharing your story.

I started reading the book The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown and for fun, I googled "Dave Hollis and imperfection". If you know me, you know that I am a fan of Dave Hollis (RIP) and wondered what I would find and this image came up! IS IT NOT PERFECT?
𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 teaches us to DIG and do the deep work in order to unlock our strengths and live authentically. In doing so, we'll face criticism from those who are used to the 'old' us. People might say 'you're not the same person, you have changed', but reading this quote from Dave encourages me!
Embrace those comments and criticisms, because becoming a 'new' you also means a 'better' and more authentic you. It means that you, those around you, and those you serve will benefit from your growth. So embrace the gifts of imperfection, as they will lead you to the woman you are meant to be!
