☀️ Summer time is the perfect time to try out WATER SLIME 💦 This is one of our favorite versions of slime and a classic STEM activity to try at home. Your little scientists will love mixing the ingredients and watching them transform into something so fun!

🌵 Giddy up to our western-themed summer camp drop-in where the cowboys and cowgirls made old school “Frontier Phones” out of strings and cups, and got extra silly with some fun “Wanted” posters 🤠 They had a great time testing out their phones and sending secret messages to one another!! Yeeeee haw!

🍬 Do these hard candies become deadly free-falling projectiles after being dumped into the air by a sky diver ?! Dr.Ben Miles gives an enlightening explanation about terminal velocity and how we can answer this question scientifically 🔍

🦸 Welcome to Hero Reactor Summer Camp! Our junior engineers made their own mini scientists out of craft and recyclable materials to go with their Superhero Reactor Laboratories they were working on throughout the week! 🚀

🏹 Mini launcher challenge! Gather some flossers and small rubber bands, and see if you can replicate this tiny launcher! What’s the biggest object you can knock over with it?? Does the size of your rubber band matter ?

🛶 Our summer campers at Westchase Early Learning Center turned into Expedition Engineers as they designed, built, and water tested their own cargo rafts. They were learning all about Easter Island and how sturdy rafts were needed to transports tons of precious cargo. We talked about bouyancy, floating, sinking, and balance, and measured how much weight each raft could safely hold before it took on water. The kids had a blast competing against eachother!

🏔️ Some majorly cool Sugar Cube Mountain engineering and erosion talk during our recent lab at the Sanderlin neighborhood family center. It was a sweet opportunity for our summer campers to be creative and learn about mountains, erosion and weathering! 🌧️

🌿✨ Summer just got a whole lot more magnetic! 🧲 Our campers embarked on a rainforest adventure with their custom magnetic mazes. 🐒🐍 From racing magnets to discovering playful animals, every twist and turn was full of surprises! Who knew STEM could be this much fun? 🧪💚

🌞✏️ Summer camp vibes in full swing! During free time, our campers chose to get comfortable and creative with some geometric art on the floor. 🎨✨ It’s amazing to see how much more engaged kids are when they are allowed move around. Learning doesn’t have to be confined to a chair—let’s get those bodies moving and minds sparking! 💡🛋️

☔️ Sugar cube mountain building at one of our summer camps was a fan favorite! Our STEM campers turned into junior engineers as they designed, built, and modified, while testing out various weather effects like rain storms and floods! 🌧️
