For the second consecutive cycle, the Middle School North Honor Band's recordings have earned advancement to the State Round of the TMEA Honor Band Competition. Following the program’s state appearance in 2024, the ensemble has once again navigated the rigorous multi-round selection process to secure a return trip to San Antonio and the state stage, placing Middle School North among Texas’ premier middle school band programs.

The TMEA Honor Band process is among the most competitive in Texas music education, requiring ensembles to advance through multiple rounds of adjudicated recordings against many of the state’s top band programs.

Through months of dedication, preparation, and musical excellence, the students of Middle School North have once again earned the opportunity to represent their school and community at the state level.

Congratulations to our students, directors, administration, families, and supporters on this remarkable achievement.

Let’s not forget that our Middle School North and Middle School South Bands will be hard at work this summer too! ☀️🎶

☀️🦅 Here Comes the Sun… and a New Season Begins! 🦅☀️

While many of our students are spending the week in South Padre soaking up the sunshine and celebrating an incredible year. The next chapter is already on the horizon! 🌅

🥁🏳️Percussion and Colorguard Camp kicks off next week!
📅 June 2–5
⏰ 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Students should bring their lunch each day, as there will not be enough time to leave campus. Colorguard members, don’t forget to check out your themed dress-up days and join in on the fun! ☀️🏖️🌴

🎶 Band Hall Wednesdays are back! 🎶

⏰ 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

These optional sessions are a great opportunity to pick up music, get help from leadership, practice with friends, and start preparing for an exciting season ahead.

The sun may be setting on an amazing year, but it’s rising on something even bigger. “Here Comes the Sun” starts now! ☀️💙

A beautiful evening celebrating the hard work, dedication, and unforgettable memories that made the 2025–2026 season so special.

One of the most meaningful moments of the night was honoring Mr. B as students, fellow directors, and the Band Booster Board presented him with gifts and memories from the season to carry with him into retirement.

Mrs. King from MSN also shared a heartfelt speech titled “When the Music Stops,” reminding us that what truly matters is what remains after the final note fades…legacy, maturity, bravery, happiness, and discipline. It was a message that perfectly reflected the impact this program has on our students far beyond the field or stage.

The night ended with laughter, celebration, and memories made that will last a lifetime.
