Advocacy group in Queens, NY working to promote better enforcement of traffic laws, criminalization of reckless driving, and safer street designs.

Make Queens Safer formed out of a strong feeling of empathy for the families coping with the loss or injury of loved ones due to reckless driving, unsafe street design, and lack of enforcement of traffic laws. We are neighbors who seek to

- shift the current ambivalence about pedestrian fatalities and injuries into a community-based movement that sees these as intolerable and 100% preventable;

Does anyone want to go on a nice bike ride of our segment of the Queens Waterfront Greenway before the meeting tonight at Loius Armstrong House and Museum?
I would love to! Perhaps 5pm? We can look at the segment from ElmJack little League, around 82nd and 19th Ave to the Flushing Bike Bridge. Or farther.

See you tonight at Louis Armstrong House!!! Let's make a terrific Queens Waterfront Greenway. The DOT has a great presentation. Your suggestions will be incorporated in the study.

The proposed route for the Queens Waterfront Greenway is here. It's going to be awesome for riders of all ages and abilities. Registration link is in the comments. I love our multiculturalism, so I'm posting these myriad languages.

Your input will ensure the best route and path for our communities along the 16 mile greenway. Join us and NYC DOT for a workshop. The will host in Astoria, Corona and Flushing.
