If your fasting blood sugar is the one number that keeps ruining your day…

Read this. 👇

As a high-risk OB nurse and GDM educator, I see this all the time.

A mama is eating balanced meals, walking after dinner, following every rule…

Yet her fasting number is still high.

The truth?

Fasting blood sugars are often driven by placental hormones and are usually the hardest numbers to control during pregnancy.

That’s why generic advice like “just stop eating carbs” doesn’t work.

What I look at instead:
✔️ Fasting length
✔️ Timing of testing
✔️ Sleep quality
✔️ Stress levels
✔️ Bedtime snack choices
✔️ Overall blood sugar patterns

One high number does not mean you failed.

You need a strategy, not more guilt.

Comment FASTING and I’ll send you my step-by-step Fasting Blood Sugar Guide that helps GDM mamas stop guessing and start understanding what’s really affecting their numbers. 💜

Gestational diabetes can feel so overwhelming. 😭

One minute you’re excited about your pregnancy.

The next minute you’re checking blood sugars, reading labels, and worrying about your baby.

As a high risk OB nurse, L&D nurse, and GDM educator, here are 7 things I wish every GDM mama knew:

1️⃣ You did NOT cause your gestational diabetes.

2️⃣ You do NOT need to cut out all carbs to have good blood sugars.

3️⃣ One high number is not going to harm your baby. We look at patterns over time.

4️⃣ Fasting blood sugars are often the hardest number to control because they’re heavily influenced by pregnancy hormones.

5️⃣ Insulin is a tool, not a failure.

6️⃣ You can absolutely have a healthy pregnancy, healthy baby, and normal newborn blood sugars with GDM.

7️⃣ The right support and plan can completely change your experience.

The problem is most moms are sent home with a glucose meter and a handout… then expected to figure everything out alone.

That’s exactly why I created the #1 GDM Resource.

Inside you’ll get:
✨ My Fasting Blood Sugar Guide
✨ 7 Day GDM Meal Plan
✨ Postpartum Blood Sugar Guide

Everything I wish I could sit down and teach every GDM mama one-on-one.

STOP blaming yourself for your fasting blood sugars. ❤️

As a high risk OB nurse, I’ve reviewed hundreds of GDM blood sugar logs and here are 8 things every GDM mama should know about fasting numbers:

1️⃣ Fasting is usually the hardest blood sugar to control.

2️⃣ High fasting numbers are often caused by placental hormones, not something you did wrong.

3️⃣ Skipping carbs or eating less doesn’t always lower fasting numbers.

4️⃣ The “perfect” bedtime snack is different for every mama.

5️⃣ Testing too late after waking can make your fasting look higher than it really is.

6️⃣ An 8 to 10 hour fast is usually the sweet spot.

7️⃣ Fasting numbers often become more difficult between 28 and 32 weeks as insulin resistance increases.

8️⃣ One high fasting number is not harmful. It’s the pattern over time that matters.

The problem is most mamas spend weeks trying random snacks from Google, Facebook groups, and TikTok while their fasting numbers keep creeping up.

That’s exactly why I created my Fasting Blood Sugar Guide.

Inside you’ll learn:
✨ The bedtime snack strategies that actually work
✨ The biggest fasting mistakes I see every day
✨ How long to fast overnight
✨ When to test in the morning
✨ What to do when your fasting numbers suddenly start rising

No more guessing.
No more information overload.
No more feeling like you’re failing.

When I worked with GDM patients in high-risk OB, I saw the same thing over and over:

Mamas blaming themselves for numbers they couldn’t control.

Crying over one high reading.

Skipping carbs because they were terrified of hurting their baby.

Thinking insulin meant they had failed.

Here’s the truth 👇

✨ GDM is caused by placental hormones.

✨ One high number is not harming your baby.

✨ Fasting blood sugars are often the hardest numbers to control.

✨ Insulin is a tool, not a punishment.

✨ You can absolutely have a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby with GDM.

You don’t need more fear.

You need the right education and support.

The biggest fear isn’t the finger pricks.

It’s wondering if your baby will be okay.

Will their blood sugars be normal?

Will they need the NICU?

Will I need insulin?

Will I end up with the birth I don’t want?

As a high risk OB nurse, I’ve cared for hundreds of moms with gestational diabetes.

And here’s what I’ve learned:

The moms who feel the most confident aren’t the ones with perfect blood sugars.

They’re the ones who have the right support and a clear plan.

Because GDM doesn’t have to take over your pregnancy.

You can still enjoy your pregnancy.
You can still have a healthy baby.
You can still have a beautiful birth experience.

That’s exactly why I created my GDM Bundle.

Inside you’ll learn:
✨ How to tackle stubborn fasting blood sugars
✨ What to eat without cutting out all carbs
✨ How to prepare for labor and delivery with GDM
✨ What every mom should know about newborn blood sugars
✨ How to protect your health postpartum

This is the resource I wish every GDM mama had the day she was diagnosed.

You just got diagnosed with gestational diabetes…

Now you’re terrified of high numbers, insulin, induction, a big baby, NICU time, and wondering if your baby will be okay.

I see it every single day.

As a high-risk OB nurse, one of the biggest mistakes I see moms make is trying to figure out GDM alone.

You don’t need more random advice from Google.
You need a plan.

The right support can help you:
✨ Understand your numbers
✨ Lower fasting blood sugars
✨ Feel confident at appointments
✨ Reduce stress around meals
✨ Prepare for labor and newborn blood sugars

You deserve to enjoy your pregnancy instead of spending it worried about every bite of food.

That’s why I created my GDM Bundle, the resource I wish every GDM mama had the day she was diagnosed. 💛

One of the biggest fears I hear from GDM mamas is:

“Will my baby be okay?” 🤍

You spend months checking blood sugars, reading everything online, and worrying that one wrong meal or one high number will hurt your baby.

As an L&D nurse, I want you to hear this:

✨ One high reading is not what causes problems. It’s the overall pattern that matters.

✨ Blood sugar management is about supporting a healthy pregnancy, not achieving perfection.

✨ Stable blood sugars during pregnancy can help support normal newborn blood sugars after birth.

✨ Early feeding and skin to skin are simple ways to help support your baby’s transition after delivery.

✨ Many moms with GDM go on to have healthy babies, normal newborn blood sugars, and beautiful birth experiences.

You do not need to be perfect.

You need the right information, support, and a plan that actually works.

If you’re tired of feeling scared and overwhelmed every time you check your numbers, I’ve put everything I teach my GDM mamas into one place.

You need a plan that actually addresses fasting blood sugars.

That’s why I created my $19 Fasting Blood Sugar Guide.

Inside you’ll learn:
✨ Common fasting mistakes
✨ Bedtime snack strategies

Another high fasting number? 😩

Before you blame yourself, hear me out…

Your fasting blood sugar isn’t just about what you ate the night before.

Sleep, stress, timing, hormones, and your placenta all play a role.

That’s why so many GDM mamas feel frustrated when they’re doing “everything right” but still waking up to numbers over 95.

As a High-Risk OB Nurse and Labor & Delivery Nurse, I’ve seen this struggle over and over again.

The good news? There are practical strategies that can help.
