Imagine, if you wish, that the idea of union, divine union — “I am one with the Source of all things, regardless of how it presents, regardless of my past instruction, regardless of my idea of what should be” — imagine you were born into a field where you were in union with Source, and everything that was learned here was learned through that comprehension. It would be a vastly different experience of presence and being. Now, because you have been entrained and taught in the lower field, the common field, you have all done the absolute best that you have been able, given the conditioning you received. And by conditioning we mean how you are instructed when you are born to perceive what is around you, who to trust, who to agree with, who to be frightened of, what to war against, and who should be loved and who should be despised. Your comprehension of how the world worked is so informed by the idea of separation that everything is in some ways sullied, stained, known in a way through the dirty idea of separation. And we say it’s a dirty idea only in that it actually claims you in a coherence with the lower field.

Now, imagine, for example, that there is a great window between you and your outer world. And imagine that that window has been stained, dirtied, by all of the fingerprints of all who were born before you, and said, “This is what you must believe in. This is what you must deny. This is what it means to be a good human being or a bad one or a trustworthy one. And this is the moral code we live by, but watch out for those people over there because they live by one that is unworthy of you.” You must understand that the mirror that you have been looking at, the lens that you have been looking through, the windowpane you indeed are pressed against, is faulty. And to move you beyond the faulty reflection of self and beyond the stained window, if you wish, that has been covered with the fingerprints or residual affects of fear, must be understood as the instruction that we intend to offer you in the coming sessions.

Listen to the body

The Head Centre is not a motor; it's just a pressure, nothing more. And, of course, that gives us a deep insight into the nature of mind. The mind is also caught up in a little sandwich, and it's a non-motor sandwich. The Head Centre above, and the Throat below.

And that says something that's central for us about the nature of the mind - is that the mind itself is not designed to do anything. It's not designed to do anything. That is, it's not designed to manifest activity. It's designed to manifest language, communication. But it is not being fueled by a motor. It tells us so much about the dilemma we have, in trusting the nature of mind to guide us in our own lives. Your mind is something you cannot trust to be of value for you; it cannot be your authority in your life. But your mind is a great value to the other - this is the irony of being human. We're here to communicate to each other, this part of the process of developing the consciousness field. But the mind is not there to guide us into activity. You know, authority is some place else in your design. ~ Ra Uru Hu
