The only thing I'd say it gets wrong is assuming that corporate technical training focuses on functional training only. It doesn't, at last least not good corporate IT training. Good technical training focuses on how it affects employees, process change, and how their new process should be used within the context of the functional part of the technology.

Training should be more holistic than simply functional training.

If you're not thinking about training for technology change beyond functional training then your change management as well as the project has a higher chance of failure.
