πGraduation season should be a time of celebration as our students step into a future filled with opportunity.
For many, however, doors to future opportunities close before even finishing high school.
This is not a matter of students' capabilities, but of a system that wasn't designed to effectively teach all kids.
EdVoice is reshaping public education in California so that ALL students have futures filled with opportunity.

Can't stop, won't stop! Our leadership team continues to grow with the addition of Efrain Mercado, Jr. as Chief Government Affairs Officer.
Efrain has landed at EdVoice after serving as Director of California Policy at the Learning Policy Institute. Prior to LPI, he held leadership positions at California Teachers Association, Children Now, and the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association.
Efrain brings with him the policy depth and legislative experience needed to help advance the most important educational issues faced by California students and teachers.

π₯³Please join us in welcoming Rigel Massaro to EdVoice and EdVoice Institute!
Rigel joins us after more than 5 years at the California State Board of Education, where she helped advance statewide literacy initiatives, educator workforce efforts, community schools, and learning acceleration.
Prior to serving in the Newsom Administration, she worked alongside parent and student groups to advocate for equitable school funding and teacher quality for low-income communities.
Rigelβs leadership and deep policy expertise will strengthen our efforts to reshape public education in California so that students from low-income communities have futures filled with opportunity!
