Doing research on what is the best practice to teach students about the environment. Step #1 everyone can make a difference.

I am so excited about my camp starting soon. I will post pictures.

People always ask me, "why do you care so much about the environment?". As I picked up the trash around my neighborhood, I gave this question a lot of thought. I did not make the trash, nor did I ask all of the beautiful trees to be ripped from the earth and displace all of the wildlife to have a new housing development be built. Doughboy described the hood exactly the way I would describe how most people feel about the environment, "people either don't know, don't show, or don't care". I am not here to change anyone's mind, I am here to teach. It is up to you to do what you want with the information. I do not do this so humans can have a clean environment, I do it so the helpless, displaced animals can have a clean environment.

I am really excited to start making my field guides. I will make the first couple of pictures today and I will post them later. I can't wait to see how they come out.

A little bit about me. I am a science teacher and my passion is to teach little ones to love earth and appreciate nature. My goal for this site is to inform people of the little changes they can do to make a difference. If we all change a little something, it becomes a big change for the environment.
