Every step counts!

Today I repaired the water diversion on the driveway to move water into the ephemeral pond to the left of the driveway before it enters the main tank.
Even this small step counts! A here a there and you’ve got everywhere!

Now to tap into that cleansing shower before I get into the mycology labwork. Have a blessed up Saturday y’all.

50 Kilometers. 32 miles. Ultra does describe this experience but only in words.
Here at Hells Hills I found more than I thought possible. I fought demons, and in His name, they transformed into water and love. I emerge anew. Reborn from the Pain Cave (I’ve always thought God does the best work in caves)
The towering Loblolly’s and their heavy redolence, deep and strong. Soft duff underfoot and coniferous bouquets above hold ease and relief.
I am so grateful
I run to hear You speak, through the caves of the inner. I hear you
Treat the hotspots before they blister
Stretch before you cramp
Prepare as best you can, and jump in with both feet in full faith

If I live life like an endurance race, how full and supportive could I be?
If I run with barefoot shoes, how much more can I feel?
How alive can I Be?

I love working with these little beings. They teach so much, Carin for them, observing the hive, reading the comb, finding the queen. The space needed now that these have replaced the native honeybees by centuries.
Right now , they are all over the , thriving despite the drought. Some folks don’t like these trees, I love them. Dappled shade for my cows, goat food in trying times, medicine, beans, coffee alternative and flour for myself and friends.

I get theres a lot to dislike about them the spikes, the rate of growth, their tendency to show up everywhere. But those detractors are also their saving Grace as they allow healing in the land, albeit it’ll take centuries but in that time they will provide food, medicine, and shade for us all.
So maybe Mesquite trees are trees of Grace, well they are to me at least.

Cuties!!! I let a hen stay broody and she got 5 to hatch! I left her with 2 as a chance to raise some fully chickens!
