Two new places to learn Barefoot Massage this year!

We have a new training center and instructor building up to launch later this year in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, AND our instructor Sharon is bringing Barefoot Matwork to Creswell Oregon in the Willamette Valley this Summer!

We'll be teaching recurring Fundamentals classes in Pennsylvania (PGH), but it's a 1-time-only travel class this August in Oregon, so don't miss out!

The future of massage is afoot… We train massage therapists in the art and science of myofascial ashiatsu barefoot massage techniques. We provide the tools to become fanatical ashiatsu practitioners, curious anatomy nerds and confident barefoot massage specialists. We aim to teach modern, evolving and informed theories of massage that, through your intent and knowledge, can be applied to clinical, sports, and relaxation-based sessions. Instruction is offered in our exclusive live training courses available to Licensed Massage Professionals, taught in person by experienced practitioners and leaders in the field.

Come and continue your studies in massage therapy with our style of myofascial ashiatsu that we lovingly nicknamed as “FasciAshi”

Inside the Interstitium, the Human Body’s Hidden Pathways 05/12/2026

The timing of this is wild. Right as I hit send on our newsletter this morning talking about the changing landscape of myofascial work, the New York Times published a huge piece on the interstitium, and then Tom Myers shared this response. (Below)

It really feels like the little nerdy corners of the industry is taking a deep collective breath today. We have been watching all this internet drama over what fascia is or isn't, or what we do or don't do to it, what it stores or what it doesn't, and it can feel a little chaotic when the definitions keep changing.

Reading Tom's perspective right alongside what we just explored in the CBM newsletter this morning on SubStack makes everything click together so beautifully, he's got a bigger picture view. The science is simply catching up to the fluid systems and webs of communication we already feel underfoot. We are outgrowing the need to isolate and fix broken pieces and expanding our understanding into tensegrity and whole body relationships.

The words we use to describe the tissue are going to keep evolving and the research will keep finding new microscopic interactions but the profound shift that your clients feel when you sink into those sensory pathways is as real as ever... so take a moment to read Tom's thoughts below as well as the New York Times article (for the collective "yeah duh" moment we'll all feel, lol) and let your own nervous system settle a bit... I know mine did.

Inside the Interstitium, the Human Body’s Hidden Pathways The detection of another circulatory system in the human body could have enormous scientific implications.

In your inboxes and on the Substacks: (link in today's stories.)

I wrote a liddle diddy, it goes something like this: We are increasing sensory clarity underfoot through a new 3D map for the brain to process during a FasciAshi session. What they sense in session is the magic that makes the changes happen, so keep drawing their attention to what they notice in the moment while you massage. Myofascial Barefoot Massage is a mindful meditative exercise for your clients.

Plus a list (with registration links) to our classes May-Early August!
