First week of UCUC Summer Camp in the books! So great to welcome new kiddos, and have students return from a year at TK with the district. We got to revisit old favorites, and see their growth!
This surprise mystery water table was a highlight of the week (and I was too busy having fun to take many photos!).

Our plant explorations! Germination, propagation, watching and documenting the growth of our basil plants! Nature is magical. 🌱

Just a few moments from our Project Exhibition on Friday, where we had the pleasure of relaying the learning from our long term projects, this group’s love of collaborative art, and each child’s self portrait from the beginning and the end of the school year. It was a full, vibrant evening celebrating these children and our wonderful community!

Sights and sounds of busy hands hard at work yesterday.
Squeezing, pinching, cutting, sticking, lining up— these are all necessary fine motor skills that must preceded writing! ✍️ While exploring cause and effect effect with droppers, arranging loose parts to tell a story, meticulously cutting circles “I did that!,” gaining confidence, children are all strengthening the many muscles in the hands that are necessary to grip a pencil and make intentional marks. All in a day’s work.

Just a few outside moments from yesterday. Another beautiful San Diego day, playing together, making music, strengthening hand eye coordination, developing language, and navigating challenges joyfully.
