PUSD states they want us to know "the facts, not rumors" about the budget deficit. But a half-truth isn't a whole fact. ❌
While the district points fingers at external factors like state funding and declining enrollment, they completely block out their own unprecedented spending choices over the last handful of years. 🔍
How can PUSD fix a deficit by ignoring how they spent their way into it? 💸 📈

At the May 14th Board Meeting, the Superintendent presented a First Reading of updates to Board Policy 5131.8 Mobile Communication Devices following California School Boards Association (CSBA) recommendations and the recent parent survey results.

The 2025-26 school year is wrapping up this week, but Poway Unified SD still has two school board meetings left.

Transportation safety and bus route concerns were voiced during public comments at the last Board of Education Meeting in response to the tragic March 2026 fatality.
