It was so special to have Ms. Marta visit our classroom and share a yoga experience inspired by her book, Shine Your Light. The children were deeply engaged in the experience and loved moving, stretching, and connecting together through yoga and storytelling.

This year in our Rancho Bernardo stems classroom the children explored big ideas connected to kindness, empathy, and the wonder of our world. Through investigations of the sun, moon, light, nature, and imagined planets, they built relationships, asked thoughtful questions, and expressed their theories through deep thinking and collaboration.

Their research encouraged curiosity about how the natural world works and how we care for one another within it. Together, the children explored both scientific thinking and emotional connection in meaningful ways.

This journey reflected the beauty of learning through wonder, imagination, and community. 💛

Made Visible is a reflection of your child’s full year of learning. It is an opportunity to step into the classroom, witness the journey, and gain a deeper understanding of how learning has unfolded over time through experiences, relationships, inquiry, and connection.

This year, the entire school engaged in the long-term research study: Empathy at the Core of Human Intelligence. While this collective research connected both school locations, it translated differently within each classroom community, unfolding uniquely through the children’s interests, relationships, questions, and evolving learning journeys. ✨
